Grace Foundation is planning to build a Grace Village in both Bao-wen (southern Thailand) and MaeSai (Chiang Rai in northern Thailand) in order to provide affordable accommodation for those who choose to work or retire in rural areas where fresh air and luscious green fields reign supreme. For those who have young families, kindergarten is also in the planning stage.
Rev. Dr. Sai-fung Lee reminds us, “Ezekiel Chapter 47 tells us that
1. our LORD is a life-giving God: ‘water coming out from … the temple …makes the salt water fresh; so …everything will live. There will be large numbers of fish. Fishermen will stand along the shore…Fruit trees…will grow…Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.’ This means that the source of all our blessings comes from the Temple where our LORD dwells (Ezekiel 47:1-2, 12);
2. our LORD is also a God of living: God expects us to abide in Him if we are to live in contentment (1 Timothy 6:6) . Like the fishermen, as we make our living, we should trust in God’s provision and obey God in every way; and
3. above all, our LORD is a God of love: Jehovah called on the Israelites to be loving to aliens who have settled among them and who have children, and to show their love by allotting to these aliens part of their inherited land as an inheritance to the aliens too (Ezekiel 47: 21-23) .
Therefore, recognizing that all blessings come from God through grace, and that our LORD is a God of life and of living, Grace Foundation has embarked on this project to provide affordable accommodation to those who are in need, especially for those who are raising young families, and whose children can be cared for in a kindergarten where they can get to know God’s Word in multiple languages (Chinese, Thai and English).
I invite you to pray for this Christian ministry of outreach, which is a reflection of loving our neighbors, educating the young, and caring for the lost and forgotten. By doing so, we hope to demonstrate to the world at large that it is possible to realize a piece of heaven on earth. ”
